1. District Convention News from Chairman Judy Grammer

 
Below is information concerning the convention including directions, a map, motels, agenda, etc.  Letters to all delegates and alternates were mailed out on Monday, March 14. If you have not received yours, please check with your county chairman or convention secretary to be sure that your name was sent in to the district as a delegate or alternate.  The 10th District counties elected 325 delegates and 165 alternate delegates at their 15 County Conventions on March 5. This makes a grand total of 490 people eligible to attend this District Convention. Guests are also welcome.

Hope that you will be able to attend the Friday night Banquet at Albert E. Harrison Hall. Linda Herren, Georgia's National Committeewoman to the RNC will be our speaker.  All candidates for Lt. Governor have been invited to speak briefly. Congressman Nathan Deal will be the keynote speaker at the convention on Saturday. Be prepared for another one of his blockbuster presentations.

2.  State GOP Convention May 6 - 7  Savannah

                            


Mark your calendar for the biggest and best State Convention at
the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. Join us as we celebrate the new majority!  This will be our first State Convention ever when Republicans are in the majority in both houses of the legislature and also occupy the Governor's office!

State Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine today pulled out of the 2006 race for lieutenant governor. In a letter to Gov. Sonny Perdue, the Republican said he would instead run for another term as insurance commissioner
