The 9th District Republican Party was formed in 2011 following a state-wide re-districting. The GA 9th is composed of Republicans in the beautiful northeast Georgia counties of Banks, Dawson, Elbert, Fannin, Franklin, Gilmer, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Jackson, Lumpkin, Madison, Rabun, Stephens, Towns, Union, White and portions of Clarke, Forsyth, and Pickens counties.
Officers and State Committee members are elected at conventions held in odd years; they serve two-year terms.
The Executive Committee is composed of the officers, regional directors, 9th District Congressional nominee from the preceding general election and County Chairmen or their appointed representative.
Ninth District Convention Delegates and Alternates are elected at county conventions.
The District Committee includes the Executive Committee, State Committee members, 9th District Director of the Georgia Federation of Republican Women, 9th District Director of the Georgia Federation of Young Republicans and Republican members of the State Legislature residing in the 9th District.
