Message from Kevin Harris, 9th District Chairman:
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
9th DISTRICT GOP PICNICHUGE SUCCESS!
To those of you who attended the picnic today, a huge thank you to all those involved. A particular “thank you” goes out to Larry Toney and the Pickens County Republican Party. Each and every person who came enjoyed good BBQ and fellowship with folks from across North Georgia. Fourteen of the fifteen counties were represented at the annual event.
With 2007 being a non-election year, many expected a lower turnout. Initial estimates show the crowd exceeded the announced goal and doubled the previous year’s attendance. During the picnic, Fred Thompson was followed by Newt Gingrich, Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and others to win the presidential straw poll. Read more
