► Need Help With Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan?
 (Who doesn't?
)

As a retired school teacher, I am one of those seniors who is having a great deal of difficulty with the State Health Benefit people. I thought I was safely still covered with my husbands wonderful GM Prescription Drug Plan like I have been for 30 years. However, last Friday I received a call from the SHBP informing me that if I did not go with one of their 40 or so approved carriers they would go up $100 a month on my regular less than stellar PPO health plan.  This is total madness, but I am not surprised. Thankfully Congressman Deal and his great staff are here to help us over these hurdles.  -
- Bettye Chambers

     A Message from Congressman Nathan Deal:

As Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, I have been closely monitoring the implementation of the Medicare Part D prescription drug benefit. In fact, during the months of November and December last year I sponsored Medicare Part D Enrollment Workshops throughout my congressional district.

I have continued to be concerned with the initial implementation phase of this program. Like any new program, there will be some growing pains. Through my chairmanship I want to minimize, if not eliminate these missteps.

I need to hear from you. Tell me your experiences. If you are still having difficulties with Medicare, tell me the problem you are incurring. My staff and I will do our best to help.

Simply fill out the form below. I will take what I learn from you and inform the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) of areas that need improving and where necessary changed.

If you prefer to speak with someone by phone, you can call any of my Washington or district offices. Thanks for your help

Just under 100 people showed up Saturday, February 4th, at the monthly Conservative Forum to listen to what Herman Cain had to say about fixes to our economy.  The standing room only crowd, cheered and nodded their approval during the 1-hour speech that included Mr. Cain getting chocked up when talking about the terrible burden of debt this generation will pass on to our children and grandchildren if we don't fix the problem - not patch it.  Check out the photo album
