Rebecca Townsend to speak in Blue Ridge

Fannin County Republican Women will host a seminar September 28th at 6:30 p.m. with Rebecca O’Dell Townsend speaking on “Our Current Constitutional Crisis: The Loss of Our Republican Form of Government.” The seminar is FREE, the public is invited, and it will be held at the Comfort Inn in Blue Ridge. Refreshments will be served.
 


Ms. Townsend is an appellate attorney from Florida, practicing before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Florida Supreme Court, and federal and state appellate courts. Her speech explains the Constitution and the judicial branch’s role within the Constitution. Ms. Townsend offers a message of enlightenment and empowerment as she tells American patriots how to regain control of our government. She has had overwhelmingly positive responses to her presentation, usually with standing ovations.

Rebecca O’Dell Townsend
Topic:  “Our Current Constitutional Crisis”

Ms. Townsend is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, graduating from Eckerd College with honors in Pre-med biology and graduating first in her entering class at Stetson University College of Law.

She is an appellate attorney, practicing before the U.S. Supreme Court, Eleventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, Florida Supreme Court, and other federal and state appellate courts.  Ms.Townsend is an Alliance Defense Fund allied attorney and a member of its honor corps.   She has filed briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of Liberty Counsel, Wallbuilders, and William Federer.

Ms.Townsend has been traveling around the country speaking on "Our Current Constitutional Crisis."  Her speeches entail explaining the Constitution and each branch's role within the Constitution.  They are a dynamic lesson in American history and civics.

Ms. Townsend has been the featured speaker for the Pinellas County, Hillsborough County, Polk County, Indian River County, Volusia County, Hendry County and Seminole County Republican Executive Committees, as well as the Georgia Federation of Republican Women and the Texas Federation of Republican Women.  She has been a keynote speaker at the Annual Bill of Rights Banquet in West Palm Beach, Florida, the National Federation of Republican Assemblies Northeast Conference in Rhode Island, the Give Me Liberty 2007 Conference in Alexandria, Virginia, the Citizens for Constitutional Property Rights Annual Awards Banquet in Melbourne, Florida and the Daughters of the American Revolution Northeast Regents Council in Jacksonville, Florida.  She has spoken to a wide variety of groups, including Kiwanis, Sons of the American Revolution and Christian Coalition.

Upcoming Events:

The FCRW will host Rebecca O'Dell Townsend on Sept. 28. We will have a buffet (free food) at the new Blue Ridge Lodge. Time 6:30 PM

 
In November we are hosting a Fair Tax Rally on the 10th. Time and place are not set at this time, but we would like to invite everyone in 9th District to make this a "very big show".  We are planning to have food, music and information. I'm presently putting the word out for speakers and will let you know as I do.

Becoming a member of Fannin County Republican Women is a great way to participate in the political process at the grassroots level and to network with other women in our community. Members are automatically members of the Georgia Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women. Dues are $18 annually.
