Following Michael Steel's moving speech at the
Friday night Victory Banquet, many highly impressed
Republicans besieged him for autographs and photos.
He graciously stayed for a LONG time to speak to
everyone who stood in line. The consensus of
everyone in line seemed to be "Steele for VP"!

husband) who was a stalwart in the DeKalb party for
many years. He died several years ago in a tragic
accident. 3. Photo of the A.A.

Award from Sue Everhart. She and NCM Alec Poitivent
both received this coveted award this year. The

many years in the GOP. Normally only one per
year is given. Linda has worked for over 30 years
serving the Republican Party in many different jobs.

the parliamentary procedures masterfully. 9.
Dissenters to some of the resolutions line up to
speak on the floor microphones. In spite of some
loud outbursts from these people, the convention
business proceeded. Six resolutions were passed
and 30 delegates and 30 alternate delegates were
elected to attend the GOP National Convention in
Minneapolis on September 1 - 4.

This photo of Convention Chairman Randy Evans speaks
volumes. The person who took this photo called
it "Praying for it to End."
